What is included in the price?

The tickets are set to offer the best value whilst offering a gorgeous full experience. Your ticket includes:
 

  • your room for the 4 nights

  • 3 full days of workshops and activities

  • breakfast, lunch and dinner + plus teas, coffees and refreshments in between

  • access to the pool suite

  • your time with our facilitators and experts

 

We offer all-in pricing. This means that all retreat attendees get the same programme of scheduled activities and meal choices.  

Differing prices simply reflect the choice of accommodation. Choose your preferred accommodation option (for which the price varies) on the 'tickets' page and you have  secured your place. Payment plans are available on request. Any dietary and access needs you may have will be discussed with you and arranged accordingly, during the on-boarding process.

Can I have a payment plan?

We understand that paying in full can sometimes be challenging and so we can arrange payment plans of three installments, with you. Please contact us info@thesenseretreat.com to arrange :)

By Road

From the M1, leave at junction 42 onto the M62. Join the M606 and follow signs for Skipton. From the M6, leave at junction 29 onto the M65 and follow signs for Skipton. Broughton Sanctuary is located 2 miles to the west of Skipton on the A59.

 

By Rail
The nearest train station is Skipton, Broughton Road, Skipton BD23 1RT (there will be taxis at the station and it is only a 10 minute drive to Broughton Hall). Trains from London Kings Cross are only 3 hours (single change at Leeds).

 

By Air
Manchester Airport is 55 miles away.
Leeds Bradford Airport is 24 miles away.

The Estate is 42 miles from Manchester.

Who is the retreat for?

The SENSE Retreat is a uniquely inclusive offering, created by and for those who experience the world through deep sensitivity. Whether you identify as a ‘highly sensitive person’ (HSP),  and /or are neurodivergent (e.g., autistic, ADHD or both (AuDHD), or on a discovery journey to understanding yourself through a new lens. Maybe you identify as an empath, creative, or are simply drawn to depth and authenticity - however you identify you are welcome here.

 

We celebrate neurodiversity in all its forms and are committed to being a neuroinclusive space. We meet you exactly where you are on your journey - however you identify -  you belong here. What matters most is that you feel welcome, seen, and honoured. Together, we’re gathering for a journey of restoration, exploration, and personal empowerment - each of us arriving as we are, with our own way of being, feeling, and sensing in the world.

Do I have to join in or be sociable all the time? 

Not at all! The schedule is a suite of optional activities for you to choose from as when you like. No pressure, no expectations - just for you to have the most amazing time exploring who you are and enjoying deep rest, discovery and belonging. We understand the need to discover and honour your individual sweet-spot of stimulation. We also have a daily silent sensory retreat space in the snug (you’ll see this on the schedule) it’s a protected space that will be offered adjacent to the workshops held by Catherine, with no expectations.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

Yes, we will ask for more information from you nearer the time including allergies, intolerances and needs. Our wonderful chefs are thoughtful and diligent to all your needs. We as the retreat hosts, also present with allergies and dietary needs too so we are well versed in how personal diets can be.

How accessible is the venue?

We are advocates for inclusion and autonomy.
The wellbeing centre has lifts to all floors, wide doors and help on hand. Broughton hospitality have a a fleet of cars and vehicles that can offer door to door and wheelchair transportation. We can arrange any additional ramps and assistance where needed and as retreat hosts, we will take joy in planning your individual stay accordingly.

 

At check in, there is an ad-hoc drop in to come and see the hosts ad also visit Catherine in the snug (the protected quiet space) and ask any questions around support, accessibility or any acccomodations you might realise your need, how to access them and share any worries or concerns you might have.

What if I feel overwhelmed?

There are  intentional quiet spaces and sensory rest available. We have included the availability of trained professionals for quiet company and personal one to one support should you ever feel overwhelmed or in need of sharing something that has emerged for you.

What should I pack for the retreat?

For your retreat at Broughton Sanctuary, we recommend packing: comfortable clothing for gentle movement, swimwear for the pool, cosy socks for moments of stillness e.g., meditation, sound baths, and relaxation, layers & warm clothing for sitting around the fire in the evening, any favourite journal & pen for reflection, a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, any personal items that help you feel at ease (e.g., a shawl, eye mask, or essential oils), outdoor wear (weather-appropriate) for nature walks. We want you to feel comfortable, nurtured and at home - pack whatever supports your experience! Let us know if you have any questions. If you forget something, don't worry - we we've go you! And your socks!
